Artigas is a red wine coupage of Grenache (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Carignan (30%) from young vineyards and over 90 years vineyards grown on slate and calcareous-clayey soils.
TASTING NOTE
Cherry color excellent and very beautiful. On the nose intense mineral aromas that while the wine progresses we find menthol and balsamic notes on a background of red fruit. In the mouth we find a broad palate and surprised by the freshness that wine acquires. Menthol, round and well integrated tannins. Long aftertaste on aromas of ripe fruit. It is also a wine that has a surprising balance between power and freshness.
ELABORATION
Low yield vines in which high quality grape grows. The harvest is manual and Artigas grains go through a double selection process. The subsequent fermentation is carried out at controlled temperature.
AGING
Aged for 16 months in French Allier barrels.
PAIRING
Ideal to accompany roasted red meats, cured cheeses and sausages, Iberian acorn-fed ham, grilled red meats, etc.
