Artigas is a red wine blend of Garnacha (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), and Cariñena (30%) from our own young vineyards and those over 90 years old, cultivated on slate and calcareous-clay soils.
TASTING NOTES
Excellent and very beautiful cherry color. On the nose, intense mineral aromas emerge, followed by menthol and balsamic notes on a background of red fruit. On the palate, we find a broad palate and are surprised by the wine's acquired freshness. Minty, round, and well-integrated tannins. A long aftertaste of ripe fruit aromas. It is also a wine with a surprising balance between power and freshness.
PRODUCTION
Low-yield vineyards grow high-quality grapes. Harvesting is done manually, and the Artigas grapes undergo a double selection process before being gravity-pressed into vats. Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature.
AGING
Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, aged between 1 and 3 years, and then blended for 4 months in concrete tanks.
PAIRING
Ideal with roasted red meats, cured cheeses and cured meats, acorn-fed Iberian ham, grilled red meats, etc.
