Carles Andreu Trepat is a monovarietal red wine, 100% Trepat, native variety of the area.
TASTING NOTE
Cherry color with violet tones. Very frank and intense on the nose, with hints of cinnamon and red fruit mermerlada. Its passage through the mouth is soft, greasy, long and persistent, with a taste of candied fruit, a light touch of licorice, an elegant finish and a slight balanced acidity in its structure. A unique wine, with a very different personality.
ELABORATION
The collection and selection of grapes is done manually after a slight over-ripening in the vineyards of the Alzinetes and the Parades, with strains of more than fifty years. Pre-fermentative cold maceration at 8ºC for eight days with slight remontages for the extraction of the color and varietal aromas of the skin. Subsequent alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature up to a maximum of 20ºC and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
AGING
Aged in French oak barrels for the first year, 225 liters capacity, for 6 months.
