Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial is a Red wine, coupage of Tempranillo and Mazuela is considered The Best Wine of the World 2020 by Wine Spectator.
TASTING NOTE
Cherry color that indicates the complexity. On the nose, it displays an aromatic intensity that seduces for its red fruits, floral notes and spiced dabs. On the palate, it has an elagant bouquet , fruity intensity and great balance.
PREPARATION AND HARVEST
Handmade harvest. The bunches are gently stemmed and shaked. The grapes ferment separately in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The barreling has a duration of 11 days. In these days, continues tasks of pumping and shaking are done to favor the must contact with the skins and cause a slow and natural bouquets extraction.
AGING
Aged for 26 months in American and French Oak barrels of 225 liters. After this, 3 years aging in the bottle.
PAIRING
Perfect to join with baked fish, meats and stews, baked apple...
RECOMMENDATION
Pour the wine 20 minutes before enjoy it. Serve at a temperature between 14-16ºC to favor the air circulation of the wine and to enjoy its bouquets to the fullest.
