Clos Petó is a Crianza red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Carignan (35%), Garnacha (15%), and Merlot (10%) from young (75%) and old (25%) vines located on the La Tena estate of the Clos Dominic winery (DOQ Priorat).
TASTING NOTES
Intense and bright color in the glass. On the nose, it is a mature, fruity, and aromatic wine. Good intensity of ripe red fruit, with sweet spicy notes and balsamic touches. A sweet and flavorful mid-palate, with intense ripe fruit, spicy and mineral notes, and gentle, warm tannins. It is a dense and enveloping wine that becomes pleasant after a brief decanting. It has enough structure and character to please any lover of good Priorat wine.
PRODUCTION
Made with grapes from the La Tena estate, the only estate operated by Clos Dominic. Fermented with the grape's own yeasts in stainless steel vats, then lightly pressed and placed in barrels. It is left to rest until bottling.
AGEING
Aged for 11 months in new French oak barrels.
PAIRING
This wine is ideal with meats, grilled fish, cured meats and cheeses, stews, and pâtés.
