Flor del Montsant is a red wine made of Grenache (80%) and Carignan (20%) from vineyards with clay soil.
TASTING NOTE
Light cherry color wine with soft mahogany tones. On the nose, it has a good balance of fruit-wood in which the lactic and vanilla tones merge with those of the fruit. On the palate, it's smooth, but filling the palate with balanced flavors in which the nasal sensations are repeated. There are notes of fruit and fine tannins which will contribute to extending its life, even being a young wine.
PREPARATION
Handmade harvest and selection in boxes of 15kg with subsequent thermal treatment at 5ºC. Fermentation at a constant temperature of 25ºC, computer controlled, in a single tank of 50HL. 'Pigeage' and traced by gravitation and maceration of the skins between 20 and 25 days. Malolactic in tank on fine lees. The pressure of the press is lowered in order to prolong the pressing.
