Galena is a red wine coupage of red Grenache (35%), Carignan (15%), Merlot (25%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%).
TASTING NOTE
Intense cherry red color. It also has an important and always present mineral component, which provides freshness. It presents a remarkable aromatic complexity and a great richness of nuances, where balsamic aromas and dried black fruits predominate, as well as jams, with light touches of black spices. The palate is very fatty and fresh, with a powerful but gentle first attack, highlighting the aromas of black spices and minerality.
VINIFICATION
Rigorous manual selection of the grapes, from five of the fourteen vineyard plots of organic farming that the winery owns, based on the type of terrain and the adaptation of the stock to it. The fermentation and maceration of each variety takes place separately, in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently a soft pressing of the skins is carried out, to continue with the malolactic fermentation. Finally, the coupage of the different varieties is made before entering barrels.
AGING
Aged for 12 months in French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels and 24 months of bottle aging in the cellar.
PAIRING
Ideal to accompany rice and pasta, poultry, white and red meats, cured meats and cheeses, stews ...
