Interrogant is a red wine coupage of Grenache, Cabernet and Carignan from small plots of vineyards planted on liqueur and clay.
TASTING NOTE
Cherry color with garnet trim. Billante and clean. Aromas of ripe black and red fruit, spicy touches on a light tan. On the palate it has a soft entrance but immediately covers the whole palate. It is a fresh and attractive wine. Slightly bitter finish.
ELABORATION
Each variety is vinified separately, making the coupage at the end of the whole process, about 5-6 weeks before bottling. Their grapes, once harvested by hand and in the cellar were destemmed and incubated in stainless steel vats, where they remained for about 3 days resting in cold. Thereafter, the yeasts were added and the fermentation began, performing daily pigeages and with temperature control. After a light pressing, the wine passed into barrels. The definitive coupage was made after a series of sensorial tastings of the three varieties. The final wine remained for 5 weeks in a large wooden tub for a perfect assembly.
AGING
Aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.
