Les Sorts Sycar is a red wine coupage of Carignan and Syrah.
TASTING NOTE
Dark cherry cherry color. Intense aroma, very expressive, to violet, ripe red fruits and plums. Spiced notes, tobacco and chocolate on a toast basis. Soft mouthfeel but with character. You can appreciate the ripe tannins that, together with the jam on the bottom of the oak, are the protagonists. Post-taste is long and very pleasant.
ELABORATION
Traditional fermentation. Malolactic fermentation in barrels. Unclarified and soft filtered.
AGING
Aged for 12 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels. Further aging in bottle.
