Malleolus de Sanchomartín is a monovarietal red wine, 100% Tinto Fino or Tempranillo from Pago de Sanchomartín, a vineyard more than 65 years old.
TASTING NOTE
Attractive cherry red color, nose is opulent and intense, predominantly black fruits and toasted aromas of noble wood. The palate is powerful and persistent, but balanced and very polished, with a silky tannin that envelops the palate.
VINIFICATION AND AGING
Made with 100% Tinto Fino grapes, the wine has macerated for 28 days. Later, after its malolactic fermentation in American oak barrels, it is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
PAIRING
Ideal to accompany sausages and cheeses, meats, stews, etc.
RECOGNITIONS
At the end of 2015, the prestigious magazine Decanter named Malleolus de Sanchomartín "Best wine of the Ribera del Duero", also recognizing the winery as one of the leaders in the DO Ribera del Duero. Malleolus de Sanchomartín is always at the top of the ranking of Spanish wines in publications such as Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast or Wine Advocate.
