Marqués de Cáceres Reserva is a red wine coupage of Tempranillo (85%), Red Grenache (10%) and Graciano (5%) from vineyards located in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa.
TASTING NOTE
Intense and dark layer. The nose shells a background of blackberry, toasted notes, noble woods and sweet spices. It is sweet and enveloping to the tasting. Its rich fruit and ripe tannins blend harmoniously into a very dense texture. A Reserve of great elegance and complexity.
VINIFICATION
Clusters crushed and destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature that starts at 10ºC until reaching 28ºC. Maceration with the skins prolonged up to 25 days, in order to extract more color, aromas and tannic structure. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tank. Once the malolactic fermentation is finished, all the wines go into barrels with racking every 6 months.
AGING
20 months in French oak barrels. After 2 years minimum of refining in the bottle before the launch date.
