Mas Collet Barrica is a red wine blend of Grenache (35%), Carignan (25%), Tempranillo (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) from vineyards with clay and granite soils situated on terraces, at an altitude between 150-450 meters.
TASTING NOTE
Intense pictoe cherry color with violet reflections. Complex aromas of red fruits, soft toasty aromas of the barrel well integrated. Good acidity and long in the mouth.
ELABORATION
Fermentation with controlled temperature (26-29ºC). Maceration between 8-16 days, the varieties are vinified separately. Start of malolactic fermentation in tank and finishing in barrel.
AGING
Aged for 9 months in American and French barrels from 1 to 5 years with medium to light roasting. Subsequently aged in tank for 6 months before bottling.
PAIRING
Ideal to accompany lamb, rabbit stews, pizza and pasta, mussaka, cheeses or berejenas stuffed.
