Montesquius 1918 Gran Reserva Rosat is a sparkling blend of Monastrell (74%), Pinot Noir (17%) and Trepat (9%) from strains planted 30 and 15 years ago in Alta Penedès in calcareous soil.
TASTING NOTE
Pale cherry color with a very fine and elegant bubble rosary. In nose aromatic palette that begins with a show of syrupy notes, aromas of lollipop, fruits and red flowers, spices and honey. A show for the senses that ends in a vibrant, fresh and intense mouth.
VINIFICATION
Harvest between September and the end of October (Trepat harvested with over maturation) its fruits are pressed slowly at low pressure and separately. The Trepat makes its fermentation with its lees in earthen jars and the Monastrell and Pinot Noir in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature. In February, the three varieties are assembled for bottling and give way to the second fermentation in the bottle, which will take place inside the underground cellars, in semi-darkness and at a constant temperature of 18ºC.
PAIRING
Ideal to accompany appetizers, smoked salmon, tuna, trout and combines very well with soft cheeses.
