Pago de Carraovejas Reserva is a red wine blend of Tinto Fino (76%), Cabernet Sauvignon (16%) and Merlot (8%) from old vines located on the outskirts of Peñafiel. Soils have a calcareous texture.
TASTING NOTE
Dark cherry red color with garnet rim. Great aromatic intensity where the ripe black fruit stands out along with licorice, spicy notes, toasted wood, smoked, dried fruits, creamy notes and balsamic herbs. In the mouth it is a sweet, silky and fleshy wine. The fruit is very prominent along with the toasts, dairy and creams. Long and persistent finish.
AGING
Aging for 12 months in barrels of extra fine French oak and then continued in the bottle until 36 months, before going on the market.
