Piper Heidsieck Champagne Rosé Sauvage is a French rosé champagne made with Pinot Noir (60%), Meunier (20%), and Chardonnay (20%). It also contains 25% reserve wines.
TASTING NOTES
Bright ruby red color. Fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, this is a very expressive champagne with aromas of red fruits such as blackberries, currants, and strawberries, along with citrus notes of mandarin and a spicy touch reminiscent of saffron. This is a champagne with an intense and deep taste. Very juicy on the palate and with a delicious finish.
PRODUCTION
Manual harvesting and sustainable viticulture. Slow pressing. Alcoholic fermentation in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts. Malolactic fermentation.
AGING
Aging for a minimum of 24 months. Post-disgorgement aging for a minimum of 6 months.
PAIRING
Ideal with duck à l'orange, cheeses, and rice.
